Charoletta J. Ransom is a founding attorney of SCR Law with more than 25 years of legal experience, and seasoned litigator who concentrates her practice in Workers’ Compensation Defense. She represents employers, insurers, and administrators across California, guiding cases from strategy at intake through discovery, depositions, hearings, trial, and resolution.
Ms. Ransom is widely respected for her ability to blend sharp analysis with practical judgment. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ransom gained extensive experience in taxation, family law, and probate, including representation before the IRS, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department, and State Board of Equalization. That foundation sharpened her understanding of financial and regulatory issues, equipping her with insight that continues to inform her defense strategies today. In addition to her legal practice, she has overseen firm operations, led staff training, and managed attorneys with the same focus and discipline she brings to the courtroom.
Ms. Ransom earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Law & Society from the University of Southern California with honors, followed by her Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law where she was a member of the prestigious Law Review and published in the Juvenile Journal of Law.
